RPGs
In addition to my work as a novelist and short-story writer, I have published a number of RPG supplements and small games, both through self-publishing as a small designer and through larger publication houses.
Don’t know what an RPG is? It’s a cooperative game for one or more players (traditionally three to seven, although the number can vary drastically) in which players take on the role of various individual characters in a fictional setting. A rules structure helps to decide how events resolve. Many RPGs include a referee, gamemaster, or storyteller to organize the world and the story that unfolds, but some are entirely driven by the players.
My personal RPG work can be broadly categorized into three areas:
Work for Hire: These are projects that I worked on as a freelancer, contributing to various publications and game lines.
Chuubo’s Corner: Chuubo’s Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine, written by Jenna Moran, is a phenomenal game of narrative management, magical realism, and exploring mundane problems with fantastical abilities. I’ve written several Chuubo’s products under the Apocynum Press license.
Personal Projects: This collection of short campaigns, modifications to existing games, systemless settings, and one-shot RPGs are available at prices ranging from “nothing” to “very little”. They are single-person productions largely written to be shared, with basic layout and artwork.
