From the dawn of history, every species on every world has shared stories of an otherworldly place accessible from our own – a strange and mystical land, filled with wondrous creatures. It was said that this world could be reached through fairy rings, dreamland portals, or from the depths of xavjin trees. This place was known as Faery, or the Winterlands, or the Endless Sea.
Most cultures eventually came to believe that these places were myths. Centuries ago, however, your world learned that they were real, and you entered into the interstellar universe connected by the strangest world anyone has ever experienced – the Xenobelt.
The Xenobelt is not a planet. As near as scientists can tell, it doesn’t occupy normal space, and it’s not actually clear whether the various worlds that it connects are even all in the same universe. Experiments have been proposed to figure this out once and for all, but it will be centuries more before any of them deliver a useful answer.
